How Bara protects and manages your data.

Last updated: October 5, 2025

Tanglobal Ltd. ("Tanglobal", "we", "us") builds Bara to help logistics teams operate with transparency. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share personal data when you interact with the Bara platform, mobile apps, or support services.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details such as name, email, phone number, company profile, and role so we can create secure workspaces.
  • Operational data including shipment orders, fleet documents, telematics signals, and driver performance submitted through the Bara platform.
  • Usage analytics that improve reliability: device type, in-app interactions, diagnostic logs, and coarse location when the app is in use.
  • Limited third-party data shared by integrated services such as ERP, TMS, or payment providers, always governed by processing agreements.

2. How we use your data

  • Operate and optimise Bara services, including dispatch automation, visibility dashboards, and compliance workflows.
  • Provide support, respond to incidents, and notify you about platform updates or security advisories.
  • Run anonymised analytics to improve routing intelligence, benchmark performance, and build new features.
  • Meet legal obligations, enforce our terms, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity.

3. Sharing and transfers

  • We share data with trusted processors who host infrastructure, provide analytics, communications, payments, or verification tools. All vendors sign confidentiality and data processing agreements.
  • Operational data may be shared with shippers, carriers, or partners you authorise in order to fulfil logistics transactions.
  • If we reorganise or merge, data may transfer to new entities, subject to this Privacy Policy and relevant regulations.

4. International data flows

  • Tanglobal hosts Bara in secure cloud regions with redundant backups. Some data may be processed outside your country, but we maintain safeguards aligned with GDPR, NDPR, POPIA, and other applicable laws.
  • We implement encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, regular audits, and incident response procedures.

5. Your rights and choices

  • Access, update, or delete profile data directly inside the Bara app or by contacting our support team.
  • Export operational data upon request in structured formats, subject to legal exemptions.
  • Manage marketing communications from account settings or by using the unsubscribe controls inside our emails.

6. Data retention

  • We retain account records and operational logs while your organisation maintains a Bara workspace.
  • Regulated documents (for example, proof of delivery or driver credentials) are retained according to statutory requirements and contractual obligations.
  • When you close an account, we anonymise or securely delete data unless law or legitimate business interests require retention.

7. Children's data

  • Bara is designed for business use. We do not intentionally collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can remove it.

8. Updates to this policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features, regulatory guidance, or operational practices. We will notify workspace owners of significant changes and post the revised policy with a new 'Last updated' date.
